Welcome to the Lebanon Kiwanis Club!
We are a part of a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.
Locally we sponsor youth-related projects including:
Lebanon Kiwanis Leadership Institute - Ten sophomores from each of the three school corporations in Boone County attend a six month leadership training hosted by the Lebanon club. Students attend monthly sessions to learn about the community, build leadership skills and make new friends! This program has been expanded to include a leadership component for last year's sophomores. Philanthropy is the focus for the junior class and they are busy working on community service projects.
Backpack Attack - over $5,000 in back packs and school supplies donated annually to children in our local community. In August, we distributed over 550 back packs in one day!
The annual "Fishing Derby" - every June we sponsor a free day of fishing at the Hot Pond in Lebanon. Thanks to our generous sponsors every child takes home a great prize!
Most Improved Student Awards - elementary students receive awards based on improved effort and attitude
Highway Clean-Up - Members of the Kiwanis Club, Key Club and Builders Club spend time together cleaning a portion of State Road 32 West.
Annual Scholarships - $2,000 in scholarships awarded to LHS graduates pursuing a college degree or vocational training
